Support the Tomlinson Family After Hurricane Devastation

Donation protected
Hey friends and family. As many of you are aware, Hurricane Helene ripped through South Georgia in the early morning of Friday, 9/27, causing the most extensive damage from a natural disaster our community has ever seen.

The 100 mph winds caused a 90 ft pine tree to come crashing down onto my best friend’s home, ripping through the front part of the house and completely destroying it. Through the providence and sovereignty of God, they had left the home hours earlier, so all the family are safe (including their sweet cat Oscar and all the chickens from the chicken coop ).

Those of you that know Cobie and Ashley know that they are two of the kindest, most loving people in the world. Their kids were the first to call me “Uncle Ethan” before I actually became an uncle. Cobie is a brother to me in every way except blood. As some of you know, Ashley had a baking business (Little Yellow House Bakery) that she operated exclusively from the home that will now have to be put on hold indefinitely. Cobie is the principal at Highland Christian Academy, so they’re now down to one income. While they have insurance, there will be many costs incurred during this transitional period that will not be covered by their policy.

I understand that there are many, many people who are in the same situation because of the devastation from the hurricane. If you feel led to help, any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to them during this challenging time. Your support will go directly to helping Cobie, Ashley, and their 4 kids rebuild their lives and cover the immediate expenses they are facing. We know times are tough for many, so even if you’re unable to give, your thoughts and prayers are just as appreciated. Thank you for any support you can provide, whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping this family in your hearts.

Psalm 46:1-2:
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.”
