Our hearts are heavy as we share that our dear friends, Bill, Michelle, and Brodie Thorpe recently lost their home in a devastating house fire. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, they have lost so much and are now faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.
If you know the Thorpe family, you know how deeply involved they are in the Blaine community. They are active members of Blaine Youth Hockey (BYHA), Blaine Area Little League (BALL), and Blaine Youth Football (BYF). Bill is always the first to step up—coaching, mentoring, and supporting kids on and off the field. Whether it’s on the ice, the baseball diamond, or the football field, his dedication to Brodie and so many other young athletes is truly special. Michelle is right there beside him, cheering the loudest and supporting every step of the way as their biggest fan. They have given so much of their time, energy, and heart to this community—and now it’s our turn to rally around them.
We are raising funds to help the Thorpe family cover immediate needs like clothing, meals, and everyday essentials, as well as to support them as they begin the long journey of rebuilding their home and replacing what was lost. My name is Katie Sherman, and I am a close friend of the Thorpe family. I am organizing this fundraiser on their behalf to help support them after the loss of their home. All funds raised will go toward immediate and ongoing needs, including clothing, temporary housing, food, and other essential expenses as they begin to rebuild. I will ensure that all funds are provided directly to the Thorpe family to support Bill, Michelle, and Brodie as they navigate this challenging time.
