Hi, my name is Blair. My husband & I bought our home in March of 2024, and it’s been small fix after small fix. However, we’ve been managing those by working hard to stay on top of them.

Unfortunately, an issue we were told would be simple to fix is anything but! There is a support beam rotting under our home that was 1) not placed right, 2) not supported right, and 3) is causing our home to sink.

We’ve gotten quoted $30,000-$35,000 for this repair, and we are exhausting all of our options, but there are none. Any extra funds will be going toward fixing damages to flooring & drywall as the entire house will need to be lifted during this process.

We both work 2 jobs each already, but our monthly budget is tight. This has become a safety issue and only worsens each day, and if not repaired, could lead to the collapse of an entire side of our home.

We have looked into personal loans, home equity, insurance, and grants, but none are available to cover this issue as we are already in a debt consolidation program and also just refinanced our home to lower our mortgage.

Even if you can only help by sharing or giving $1-5, anything would be appreciated!!

We don’t want to uproot our girls from the home they’ve come to love or risk pushing off this repair, which could lead to more damages or even harm to our family.
