Support the Thompson Family Disaster

Hello my name is Pete Ecclestone and I've know the Thompson family for over 60 years. Doug Thompson and I went to high school in Etobicoke together. We lost touch for a few years and reconnected when we found out we were neighbours just around the corner from each other on Gull Lake, Minden Ontario. Doug has a boat storage and service company located on Gull Lake and has tirelessly serviced customers on the lake and surrounding area with a professional, positive and family friendly attitude. Many of us have relied on Doug to handle all our boating needs, from storage, to maintenance to pick up and delivery. This winter was a harsh one for the Minden area and with the devastating ice storm the Thompsons lost their boat storage facility and sustained extensive damage to their home. This business was the Thompsons retirement plan and they have lost everything. The insurance will not cover the boat storage and we are reaching out for help. The Thompsons are "salt of the earth folks" and we ask for your help to rewrite the final chapter of the Thompsons story.
