Who are we?
We are the staff at Southside Coffee, your independent neighborhood cafe. Our 9 person staff is a small but mighty unit, powered by a team of baristas, chefs, and bakers passionate about our craft and dedicated to serve comforting and quality food and beverage to our treasured South Slope community.
How have we been affected by Covid-19?
We are doing our very best to navigate the ever-evolving new environment we have all been thrust into. Most of us are uncomfortable or have been medically advised not to work during this time to ensure and protect our health and wellness. Currently, Southside has reduced hours to weekends only, has introduced a new general web-store where pantry items can be pre-ordered for pick-up every Friday, and the staff has scaled back to only a few employees working on a part-time basis.
What is the impact of your donation?
As a result of these necessary changes our staff have lost income and stability. We are asking you -- our friends, family, neighbors, and regulars, to help our crew afloat with the monetary equivalent of a life vest, pool noodle, paddle board or floaty flamingo!
100% of donated funds will be split evenly among our hourly staff.
What do we hope for?
We have experienced a lot of life together and want to say we got through it together as well.
We can’t wait to get back to:
Asking how you are doing and keeping up with your daily lives!
Giving you hugs and high-fives!
Serving up smiles and treats to brighten and fuel your day!
Blasting and bopping to all our favorite jams from across the decades!
Knowing your order and having it ready before you get to your turn in line!
