EXCITING NEWS!
The Community Recreation Center Task Force has been working hard behind the scenes to make a full-service, year-round recreation center possible for our community. You have encouraged us to keep working for this! Now, we are proposing a BIG step towards this goal.
We need your help to make this happen for our community! After much time and research of various options, the Task Force believes that the vital next step to achieving our goal for a community recreation center is to create the South Coast Parks & Recreation District. A Parks & Recreation District can provide our community with much needed recreation programs and services.
Let's get this on the November 2021 ballot! The Task Force hopes to place the South Coast Parks & Rec District formation on the November 2021 ballot for the needed voter approval. In an odd numbered year and without any other anticipated ballot measures on the November 2021 ballot, the estimated cost to do so is around $18K*. Without this funding, we cannot place the South Coast Parks & Rec District on the November ballot.
We need your help to make this happen! To get the South Coast Parks & Rec District on the November 2021 ballot, we need to have the funds to cover the ballot cost. With ~25% of the funds raised, we need ~537 people to donate just $24. With that we would reach our fundraising goal. If you can donate more, we will reach our goal that much faster and be assured we are moving forward. Any amount you can provide to support this community endeavor will make a difference and help us reach our goal!
The rest of the story...

PRIORITIZE sustainability and maintain an emphasis on value with a high return of community benefit to cost.
