Support the Soria Family After House Fire

When dawn broke on Jan. 8, 2024, My uncle (Jaime), his wife (Lupe) and their daughter (Ariana) abruptly left their home due to the evacuation order of the Eaton fire. With nowhere to go they evacuated to a park in Pasadena, with no belongings or documents except the clothes that they were wearing. They waited and hoped to return home but painfully their home with everything in it was destroyed by the Eaton Fire. Decades of hard work and irreplaceable memories were burnt to ashes. A home is more than a roof over your head, it's your haven, a place where families gather around the table to create memories, carry on traditions and most importantly find peace and love.

While we are extremely grateful that they're safe and with us, they're going through a roller coaster of emotions especially because they were left with absolutely nothing. The road to recovery/rebuilt is long and arduous but with support from family and friends it can be less painful. We created this go fund me on behalf of my uncle and his family to help cover the essentials (clothing, food and shelter). Any donation amount is greatly appreciated amidst these struggles.

Cuando amaneció el 8 de enero de 2024, mi tío (Jaime), su esposa (Lupe) y su hija (Ariana) abandonaron abruptamente su casa debido a la orden de evacuación del incendio de Eaton. Sin ningún lugar adónde ir, fueron evacuados a un parque en Pasadena, sin pertenencias ni documentos excepto la ropa que llevaban puesta. Esperaron y desearon regresar a casa, pero dolorosamente su casa con todo lo que contenía fue destruida por el incendio de Eaton. Décadas de arduo trabajo y recuerdos irremplazables fueron reducidos a cenizas. Un hogar es más que un techo sobre tu cabeza, es tu refugio, un lugar donde las familias se reúnen alrededor de la mesa para crear recuerdos, continuar tradiciones y, lo más importante, encontrar paz y amor. Estamos extremadamente agradecidos de que estén a salvo y con nosotros, están pasando por una montaña rusa de emociones, especialmente porque se quedaron sin absolutamente nada. El camino hacia la recuperación/reconstrucción es largo y arduo, pero con el apoyo de familiares y amigos puede ser menos doloroso.
