For years, Brandon lived on the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP). Like many people, he didn’t struggle because he wasn’t capable. He struggled because the system was hard to understand.

Rules were unclear. Information was scattered. One small decision could have serious consequences, and getting a straight answer often meant stress, delays, or conflicting advice. Brandon saw firsthand how confusion (not lack of effort) keeps people stuck.

After leaving ODSP, he realized how many people were still navigating the same maze alone. So he built something he wished had existed when he needed it most: a plain-language website that explains ODSP clearly.

Today, Brandon’s work helps people understand their options through guides, calculators, real-life scenarios, and public speaking. The goal isn’t to tell people what to do. It’s to give them accurate information so they can make decisions without fear or shame.

This fundraiser supports the ongoing costs of maintaining and improving the ODSP website, expanding accessible tools, and continuing educational outreach through talks and community education.
