Like so many other public spaces in our community, Yogasmith has been forced to close for an indefinite period in order to help stem the spread of the coronavirus. But while the studio in Georgetown sits empty and quiet, the rent, utilities, and other business expenses must still be paid and our teachers must find a way to cover their own living expenses without their income from the Smith. That's where we come in.
Now is the time for those of us who are able to support the community that has been strengthening us for the past several years. If you can afford to do so, please consider making a contribution to help ensure that the Smith reopens and that our teachers can weather this storm and return when the pandemic ends. (And it will end.)
All proceeds from this campaign will be used to help pay the ongoing business expenses necessary to keep Yogasmith open and to support our teachers during this period of lost income.
And remember to breathe!
