On November 30, 2025, a fire put the Scott family out of the home they've owned in Fuquay for nearly 22 years. Both parents and their two sons made it out of the house safely, but fire and smoke destroyed nearly all of the bedrooms and most of their personal belongings. Most of what was saved they had to bring themselves as they got to safety during the fire.

Insurance has helped them move into another house while their home is repaired, but it's our community's turn to pitch in. They've poured into their friends and neighbors as long as they have lived here, so we should do the same as they focus on replacing necessities and making themselves feel at home. We are hoping to raise $20,000 to make transitioning into their new home a bit smoother.
