Hi, my name is Kara and I'm reaching out to Celine and Chuck's friends, & family to see if we can help adopt their family for the holidays. Together, Celine and Chuck have 8 beautiful children. The Schneider family has been separated temporarily for almost a month as their youngest baby girl Evangeline (Aka Jelly) has RSV which landed her in the pediatric ICU a few days before thanksgiving.
Jelly is a little fighter and was intubated, and sedated for over 2 weeks to allow time for her body to fight the virus and let her lungs heal until she was strong enough to breathe on her own. Now, Jelly is extubated and breathing on her own but is withdrawing from the IV meds. This withdrawal process can be lengthy and fragile so for now they remain in the hospital until she can safely be discharged home. They are hopeful to be discharged on Christmas Eve if all goes smoothly.
Celine and Chuck have had to divide and conquer. Celine has stayed at Jelly's bedside in the hospital while Chuck holds down the house and kids at home. Chuck has not been able to work, and Celine is unfortunately having to face her own new diagnosis of cancer and still in the preliminary phases of diagnostics and gathering a plan to battle her cancer.
I know I don't stand alone when I say I feel absolutely helpless as this family is living a nightmare around a time of year that should be the happiest. As a mom of 3 children my wish for this family is to have a quiet Christmas at home surrounded by love and less worry. I'd love for the community to surround and lift them up by helping donate so they could purchase a few gifts for the kids on Christmas but more to help with the unexpected medical bills, and household bills that accumulated very quickly.
Thank you and I appreciate everyone's generosity and help
