Owen Waylon made his surprise early appearance on December 8th at 7:18 pm. He was the perfect addition to the family and is absolutely adored by his big brother. In the early early morning of December 19th, Owen got sick and was taken by EMS to Renown. After a little time at Renown it was determined that Owen had a virus that had entered his blood, spinal fluid and brain. Owen was care flighted to a children’s hospital in Salt Lake City. There Owen’s body worked hard to fight off the virus. Even though he was having seizures, Owen became stable enough for an MRI. Unfortunately, the virus and the seizures damaged large portions of Owen’s brain, including his brain stem meaning Owen wound never be able to breathe on his own. Owen passed away in the arms of his parents on December 31st.
