I am setting up this fundraiser, with Ivy's blessing, to help raise some funds to support our beloved Roulette Family.
As most of you who will see this know, in the summer of 2020, Mike Roulette was diagnosed with a Stage 2 glioma, a brain cancer that doctors were able to slow down, but not stop.
In 2020 Mike had his first brain surgery, another in early 2023, and a third last summer. After his third surgery, the pathology report told Mike and Ivy that his brain cancer was now Stage 4.
Over the last few years there have been challenging months — chemotherapy, radiation, infusions, MRIs, anxiety, and medical complications, blood clots, steroids, seizures, and brain bleeds... there have ALSO been long, beautiful stretches where things have been peaceful and "almost" healthy, for which the Roulette Family and everyone who loves them has been grateful.
Our beautiful community here in the Gorge, as well as Mike's community of firefighters at Tigard Station 51 with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, and family and friends from all over, have rallied together to bring them meals, take care of their farm, run the Hope Ranch Lavender farm stand, love their kids — Grace, Ben, and Olivia (and Buck) — help raise funds to support them in building their incredible structure that will help them with a sustainable income from hosting events on the ranch.
From the summer of 2020 until now, the summer of 2026, Mike's scans have always been touch and go, but the cancer has remained relatively stable. However, at the end of last month, Mike's scan showed his cancer had spread through his brain drastically. His time with us is very limited. We are loving him and his family, drawing around them in support, and with Ivy's blessing are sharing a GoFundMe for their family.
Mike, Ivy, Grace, Olivia, and Ben are facing a tender stretch of months.
I wanted to create this space to give anyone who wishes to donate to this incredible family, whom we love dearly, the oppurtunity.
