I am Doreen’s oldest sister and all money will go to Dillon and Doreen. Early in the morning on August 10th, 2026 the Root’s family home caught fire near the deck/kitchen area. The family had working smoke detectors that did not go off. A passerby and her husband noticed and banged on the door to alert the family. Dillon, Doreen, James and Raelynn evacuated the house without any injuries along with the family cat Misty. Unfortunately it is going to be months before they will be able to be back in their home. As their house has water/smoke, and fire damage in the kitchen and basement. They are unsure what caused the fire at this point
