Support the Rohde Family's Generational Home

Hi, My name is Patrick Jay Rohde, I was born in H.C.M.C, 1986 and raised south,Minneapolis, Riverside. from there we moved to 3737 Chicago ave s, 1994 now known as (George Floyd Square) so that's 31 years me and my family have been living here. My dad was always in the house. He passed in April 2019 a year before the George Floyd accident. I am the oldest of 4. I'm asking for help to keep up with my family generational health. I want to make sure we will be able to keep the house that my mom and dad bought (the only house on the block). I am a father of 2 baby girls and an uncle of 9 wonderful kids. I'm reaching out with a heavy heart and deep hope. I never imagined I'd be in the position to be asking for help to save my home that has supported the last three generations of my family. Life has taken an unexpected turn, and I'm doing everything I can to keep my house in the family.
Following George Floyd's death in May 2020, the intersection of 38th and Chicago Avenue was transformed into an autonomous protest zone. Barricades initially installed by the city and later reinforced by activists-restricted vehicle access and created space largely free of police presence. This has led to safety concerns, financial/economic strain, and emotional/mental health problems. I've fallen behind on my mortgaged payments, utilities, and other bills. Despite working hard and cutting every possible expense, I'm now at risk of losing my home. The place that my parents purchased in the 90's where me and my three siblings grew up, we have made countless memories, and I still believe in building a better future.
This home means everything to me and my family. It is more than just a building, it is our sanctuary, our comfort, and our hope for the future.
I am humbly asking for help to raise $500,000 to pay off and renovate the home. The money will also help cover the basic costs to get back on stable ground. Every donation no matter the size, will help us take a step closer to keeping our home and sustaining a basic life. If you can't give, please consider sharing this campaign. Your kindness and support mean the world to me and my family-more than I can put into words.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
With gratitude, The Rohde Family.
