The name I have been sitting with for the past year is Mary Magdalene.
Not just the figure erased from history,
but the archetype, the guide, the flame —
a personal deity whispering through cloth and thread.
She came to me in vision and breath,
and I answered through creation.
Seven looks. One devotion.
My very first fashion collection,
a ritual in cloth, in color, in movement.
On July 22, her feast day,
I will host a Ritual Fashion Show —
an offering of art to raise funds for those who live in states where abortions are not legalized.
This is for bodily sovereignty.
This is for access to safe abortion.
This is for the fierce, the soft, the sacred.
I am calling on you now to help birth this vision.
To begin, I need $1500 —
$1000 for the venue and its protections,
$500 for materials, though I’ve been gathering gifted and discarded fabrics from the community to keep the work sustainable, intentional, and earth-honoring.
All additional funds raised beyond the production will go directly to the Lilith Fund in Austin, Texas — helping people reclaim their choice, their path, their power.
Once secured, I will release sliding-scale tickets, so this rite may be accessible to all.
If this resonates —
if she whispers to you too —
please consider contributing, or sharing this with someone who might.
Every thread helps.
See you July 22.
Under candlelight. In reverence.
She has risen.
