Crisis Relief Fund for Beirut
Donation protected
Hello community I am Charbel Hamaty, owner of Charlies Kabob Grill in Wake Forest, NC. I was born and raised in Lebanon before moving to America in 2001 to start my dream of owning a restaurant.
August 4th, 2020, the day that changed Lebanon forever. My home country that I love is hurting. Not being there to help our people hurts me. As if living through a global pandemic and economy crisis was not hard enough, the peoples lives of Beirut was turned upside down when an explosion happened. This explosion left almost two hundred people dead, thousands injured, and hundreds of thousands displaced from their homes. Hospitals were already full because of COVID-19. Everything raised will go to the Red Cross of Lebanon. The Red Cross of Lebanon is a trustworthy non-profit doing everything they can to help the people of Beirut. Whatever we raise after 30 days I will wire transfer straight to the Red Cross myself. I want to take this time and thank the community for being so supportive.
