Greetings #35 supporters!

As recently announced, we are teaming up with Next Generation Rail Solutions for a full restoration of #35's running gear, as well as reassembly and cosmetic restoration of the rest of the locomotive. We are excited to report that this work will be commencing in the coming weeks.

While the restoration itself is being funded by the Town of Oyster Bay and Nassau County, with a smaller portion by OBRM, there are a number of aspects of this project such as trucking and crane rigging which will NOT be covered by the municipal funds. These projected expenses include:

$9,000 for the Museum's remaining funding contribution

$6,000 for initial trucking expenses

$10,000 for cranes and rigging

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP! We are asking all our friends and supporters to donate $35, or any other amount, to help ease the museum's burden on these non-covered expenses, including our remaining matching obligation under our municipal grant. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
