Unfortunately, as many of you may know, our sweet neighbors, the Rahmn household, have experienced a recent hardship after their home was struck by lightning on Saturday and ravaged by the ensuing fire. Luckily everyone is okay, but they have a long road ahead between accounting for what hasn’t been destroyed, getting everything out, and dealing with insurance.
Jared Rahmn is the type of neighbor you pray for when moving into a new neighborhood. He’s the guy who brings plates to everyone on the street when he fires up the smoker, the first one to show up with tools when he hears you starting a new project, and the last person to stay and help clean up every New Year’s after we do fireworks for the kids.
Jared is also an Iraq War veteran who fought valiantly through three tours and received a Purple Heart. We now have the unique opportunity to show him our gratitude and support during this difficult time.
As a community, I’d like us to come together and show up for Jared and his family just as he would for yours.
So please donate if you can, and let’s show the Rahmn family that this is more than a neighborhood, it’s a community that cares for its own.
