Hello, we’re the Quiroz sisters, and we’re asking for your help through this GoFundMe to bring our mom, Claudia Quiroz, back to the United States. We need to raise money to cover her legal fees for an immigration lawyer, ensuring she can return legally without any issues.
In February 2009, our parents were deported, leaving behind five daughters, aged 16, 13, 12, 8, and 5. We’ve had the support of family and friends over the years, and we’re forever grateful to them. But nothing ever felt the same without our parents. We felt lost, missing their presence and guidance as we tried to navigate life on our own. In September 2020, we suffered another devastating blow when our dad passed away, leaving us with an even deeper sense of loss. Now, after 16 long years, all we want is to bring our mom back home.
My name is Daisy Quiroz, and I’m the oldest of five sisters. When I turned 19, with the help of friends and family, I was fortunate enough to secure an apartment for my sisters and me. Since my sisters were too young to enroll themselves in school, I became their legal guardian, taking care of their education and appointments. This wasn’t a role I expected, but I’m grateful I could help them during that time. While caring for my sisters, I also focused on my own growth. It took me longer to finish school, but I never gave up. I worked while attending school and ensuring my sisters were well taken care of. Eventually, I earned my bachelor’s degree in sociology, and I now serve in the United States Air Force as a mental health technician. My goal is to pursue a master’s degree in social work so I can become a school social worker. Although I stepped into a motherly role for my sisters, we still need our mom. Any support, whether through a donation, sharing, or simply keeping us in your prayers, would mean the world to us.
My name is Barbara Welle. My husband and I are stationed in Great Falls, Montana, where he serves in the United States Air Force. I’m currently pursuing my RN degree at Montana State University, and I’ve been dedicated to jiu-jitsu for over nine years. While I’ve been working hard to build a life I’m proud of, it hasn’t been easy without my mom. The support I’ve received has been amazing, but the empty space in my life without her is hard to describe. This GoFundMe is our hope to bring her back into our lives.
Hi my name is Cynthia and I’m the middle child. I’m 27 years old, currently a college student at Bakersfield College, set to graduate with an AA in Early Childhood Education in May 2025. I’m a preschool teacher and a mother to a 5-year-old boy, Ezekiel. Even though my boyfriend and I became young parents, we’ve worked hard to raise our son to the best of our ability, even without the help of our parents. My mom has missed out on so much of Ezekiel’s life, and he deserves to have his grandma back in the United States. Getting her back to her grandson and daughters would truly be a dream come true. I believe that one day, God will allow us to be reunited again.
My name is Esther Quiroz and I’m 24 years old, currently enlisted in the United States Air Force. I plan to serve for four years while going to school to become a delivery nurse. In my teenage years, I often felt lost without my parents, but now I’ve found purpose in serving others. Still, my heart aches for my mom’s presence. I want to show her the person I’ve become and make her proud. Bringing her home would mean more than words can express.
Hi I’m Claudia the youngest of us all. I’ve graduated high school, work full-time, and am now in college pursuing my dream of studying music. My mom has missed out on so many of my accomplishments, and it’s been really hard not having her here to share in those moments. I want her back with me and my sisters so we can finally live with her by our side again, where she belongs. All of us have had to work two jobs while trying to go to school to support ourselves. And even though it was hard, we always did our best to send whatever money we could to help our mom during these years of separation. It’s been a long and painful journey, but we’ve never seen ourselves as victims. Instead, we’ve worked hard to be productive, to make our parents proud, and to build lives they could be proud of too. Now, we’re asking for your help to raise $7,000 to cover the legal fees necessary to bring our mom home. Any contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to reuniting our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our story and for any support you can offer.
Sincerely,
The Quiroz Sisters
