For many young people in Pittsburgh, The Promise Center represents their first real chance—a chance to feel safe after school, to get academic support when they need it, to build confidence, and to imagine a positive future.

Since 2022, The Promise Center has served more than 50 children each day, providing hot meals, math and literacy remediation, mentorship, violence prevention, safe play, and career-readiness programming led by experienced staff and dedicated volunteers.

The Promise Center was founded with a clear vision: to build a community center in Homewood that offers a safe, healthy place for children and their families to learn, grow, and create community together.

Your end-of-year gift helps keep this vision moving forward—keeping doors open, meals served, and trusted adults present for the young people who rely on the Promise Center every day after school, on holidays, and through the summer months, where kids would have no other safe place to go.
