AKPickleball, Inc. is a 100% volunteer nonprofit (501(3)c organization whose volunteers raised funds for and oversaw the construction of the 6 dedicated pickleball courts at Freeport Community Park. AKP leases the area from FCP and, as a result, is responsible for the management of the pickleball court area.
We’re so grateful for all the past support that helped bring our pickleball courts to life—what started as an idea is now something our whole community gets to enjoy every day.
Now that the courts are built, our focus has shifted to keeping them in great shape. Donations to this fundraiser go toward ongoing maintenance and upkeep—things like insurance, surface repairs, equipment, and general improvements that keep the courts safe and enjoyable for everyone.
AKP is also grateful to ALL who choose to support the courts by becoming annual AKP Members. These membership donations have allowed us to continue to both maintain and to improve the courts for use both by Members during Member Only play times and by our community alike.
So, whether you currently play, are interested in learning an easy and inexpensive sport, are a local business or organization or simply someone who is invested in community development, please contribute to our effort! All donations, large or small, will be an investment in the health and well being of our community!
Benefits to individuals who donate $100 include:
-AKP Annual Membership based on calendar year
-Members Only priority court play times
-A complimentary beginner session
-Gearbox outdoor pickleballs during Members Only court times
-Private lessons, court and ball machine rental access
-Free and/or discounted registration fee for AKP sponsored leagues and events
Once AKP receives your donation, you will be contacted about how to receive your AKP Member ID tag and how to join our TeamReach scheduling group.
As an all volunteer 501(3)c organization, AKP appreciates donations from both individuals and businesses. Tax exemption status option is available upon request.
