We are reaching out to ask for your support for the Perez Family, valued members of our school community who are facing a serious and stressful legal hardship.
Originally from Guatemala, the Perez Family came to the United States seeking safety, stability, and a better future for their children. The father of the family is currently in deportation proceedings after being taken by ICE at his workplace, creating significant emotional and financial strain for the entire household. He was the sole financial support for the family while Ms. Maria Perez cared for the children, making it even more difficult for the family to navigate this uncertain situation while Ms. Perez looks for employment to support her family.
The Perez children are students at Bruce-Monroe at Park View. They continue coming to school each day while carrying the stress of their family’s circumstances and trying to remain focused on their education and well-being. As a school community, we have the opportunity to support them during this critical time.
The family is facing approximately $5,000 in legal costs to secure representation and continue fighting their case. We are asking for donations to help cover these urgent legal expenses and keep this family together during an incredibly difficult time.
