My name is Brenda Tinsley, and I am creating this fundraiser for my friends, the Payton family—Daniel, Sarah, Emily, Carter, and Luke - who recently experienced a devastating fire at their home in McCordsville, IN.

While we are incredibly blessed and grateful that everyone escaped safely, including their two dogs, the fire and resulting smoke damage have left their home uninhabitable and the family displaced for the foreseeable future.

Like many families facing an unexpected disaster, the Paytons are now navigating challenges that go far beyond repairing a home. While insurance is helping with rebuilding of the house, temporary housing and a small portion of the family's losses, they’ve been told that the significant fire and smoke damage to personal belongings has created substantial replacement costs that go beyond what insurance is expected to cover for the everyday necessities that made their house a home.

Their family is currently moving between temporary housing accommodations while the home undergoes extensive cleaning, smoke remediation, and repairs. During this difficult season, Daniel and Sarah are doing their best to create a sense of stability and normalcy for their three children while facing the many uncertainties that come with being suddenly displaced.

As the pastor of our church, Daniel Payton and his family have faithfully served and supported so many people in times of need. Now, as they face the long process of rebuilding for their family of five, we have an opportunity to come together as friends, family, and community to help lighten their burden. Funds raised through this campaign will help the Payton family replace essential household items, clothing, children's belongings, and other needs that arise during the recovery process.

Every gift, regardless of size, will make a meaningful difference and help provide for so many basic necessities, while giving this family one less thing to worry about as they focus on caring for their children and the difficult path forward.
