Support the Paredes with Derlis-Ramon Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
Dear friends and neighbors,
I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request. My husband, a loving father of four and a former University of Maryland football player, has been battling kidney failure since 2022. He has been undergoing dialysis four times a week for almost two years now.
Derlis Ramon Paredes grew up in Arlington and went to Francis Scott Elementary School, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, and Washington Lee High School. Derlis continued his education and athletic career at the University of Maryland to play football in the 80s, under Coach Bobby Ross. Derlis also was an excellent soccer player with the Arlington Aardvark's Travel Soccer Club, which won many East coast tournaments and awarded them to compete in England. In addition, Derlis coached the Washington-Lee girls soccer team.
Derlis and I have been married for 34 wonderful years, and he works tirelessly to take care of our family. Unfortunately, his illness has limited his ability to work, and we’re struggling to manage the financial burden of his treatment.
We’re on the transplant waiting list, but we need your help. Your donations will help cover medical bills, post-transplant care, and daily expenses during this difficult time.
Thank you for any help you can provide. Your support and kindness are deeply appreciated.
