On Thursday, January 30, the husband of Kayla Ochoa was picked up by ICE outside of his workplace. His wife of 11 years was thrown into the role of a single mother and sole provider in an instant. Their two children, Alexander (9) and Ariana (6), are absolutely devastated and lost without their father. Both children are autistic and thrive in an environment of structure and stability, to which their father is their rock.

He is currently being held in a detention facility. Visits now involve a sheet of plexiglass between him and his family, which is negatively impacting the children. Kayla is doing her best to stay strong. She has hired a lawyer and is trying to bring her husband home. However, this has created an extreme amount of stress for her as she is undertaking all of it.
