In the sacred land of Tso Pema (Rewalsar), where countless practitioners have sought realization and where the blessings of Princess Mandarava and Guru Padmasambhava still fill the air, a small community of devoted nuns continues to live and practice in simplicity, humility, and deep faith.
These nuns dedicate their lives to retreat, meditation, and mantra recitation — praying for the peace and liberation of all beings. Their days begin before sunrise, filled with chanting, practice, and offering — not for themselves, but for the benefit of the world.
Yet, their living conditions are extremely poor.
The toilets and washing facilities in their retreat area are broken, unsanitary, and in urgent need of repair.
There is no support or funding given to them , they live entirely by the kindness and generosity of others.
For the nuns, clean water, hygiene, and health are not luxuries — they are essential for the continuity of their practice and survival. When illness or infection arises from poor sanitation, it threatens not only their physical well-being but their ability to sustain the precious vows of retreat and Dharma activity.
With great humility and devotion, we are asking for your kind support to restore and rebuild the toilets and hygiene facilities for these pure practitioners.
Every contribution, no matter how small, becomes a field of merit, a direct offering to the Sangha, to the lineage, and to the living presence of compassion in our world.
To give to those who practice for others is one of the most sacred forms of generosity (dāna).
In helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and health, you help preserve the light of the Dharma in this time of darkness.
May your offering become the cause for your own well-being, wisdom, and realization, and may it bring comfort to those whose hearts are turned only toward benefiting others.
With deep gratitude,
On behalf of the Nuns of Tso Pema
Sarva Mangalam
