Support the Nickerson Family in Their Time of Need

My name is Kim and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of all the friends, family and acquaintances of The Nickerson Family: Jeff, April, Tucker, Tanner, Tripp, Erin and Ryder.

April is a dear friend and a long-time employee of Yellowfins in Long Neck, DE. In December, 2023, two months after the birth of his first child, Ryder, April and Jeff’s son, Tanner Nickerson, was diagnosed with cancer. Since that time he has undergone numerous surgeries and multiple radiation and chemotherapy treatments as his cancer has continued to spread. He has basically been bedridden and in pain, but fighting to return to his son, for over 10 months.

Tanner and Erin’s son Ryder turned one on October 9th, one day after The Nickerson’s found out that there was nothing more that could be done for Tanner and that he would be going into hospice. The pain is devastating.

Tanner will spend his 27th birthday on October 22nd in Hospice care. His family, who have been by his side continuously for the past 10 months need our help. Jeff has only been able to work intermittently between trips to Christiana hospital for Tanner’s treatments. April, who dearly wants to stay with Tanner for as long as they have, has missed work as well and the family is understandably struggling financially.

There will be many costs that no parent should ever have to deal with, and a young mother and child to look out for, now, and for years to come.

We have come together once in support of #toughfortanner, the need is even greater now.
