The South Central Collective (TSCC) is an upcoming theater company, founded by Hazel Eko, that is based In Los Angeles. We are a collective of young, passionate artists from South LA, including actors, dancers, singers, writers, directors, and stage crew. TSCC creates and produces artistic opportunities within various theatre fields for people ages 16 and up, to expand representation and access to artists of color residing in Los Angeles. Our upcoming event, The New Works Collective, is a staged reading festival that will showcase three upcoming and very talented LA native writers, playwrights and screenwriters, giving their new scripts a chance to be heard and performed in front of a live audience.
To make this event possible, we need support to cover the venue cost of the theatre, compensate the script writers, and provide essential resources for the festival, such as catering. These funds will be a major help in supporting emerging talent and ensuring the festival runs as smoothly as possible. Every donation will help tell underrepresented stories and provide more artistic opportunities, primarily within the performing arts, to be more accessible to youth and underprivileged communities in LA.
The arts changed my life, and I have witnessed the blessings it has brought to many people's lives. TSCC is meant to be a space for artists, regardless of race, age, or background, to be able to express themselves in whatever artistic form drives their spirit. With your help, we can foster the next generation of artists and give them the opportunities they need to grow, thrive, and tell their truths. Your support will make a lasting impact on our community and help us continue to give the gift of the arts back to those who need it most.
