Support for Eldridge & Nikki’s Family During This Difficult Time
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out to ask for your support for our dear friends Eldridge and Nikki, a young Filipino family living in Cobram, Victoria, Australia, who are currently going through an incredibly painful and overwhelming time.
On Thursday, July 24, Nikki was admitted to the hospital with a Staphylococcus Aureus infection and was suspected of having sepsis. Thankfully, she is now responding to treatment, but she will need to remain hospitalized for several more days to fully recover. With a 3-month-old baby and a 7-year-old child at home, this has already placed a huge emotional and physical strain on the family.
Tragically, just hours later in the early morning of Friday, July 25, Eldridge’s mother unexpectedly passed away in her sleep. She had been visiting from the Philippines and was due to fly home next weekend. Her sudden passing has left the family in deep grief, with the added stress of planning her funeral far from home.
As you can imagine, this situation has created a tremendous emotional, logistical, and financial burden on Eldridge and Nikki. With Nikki in the hospital, two young children to care for, and funeral arrangements to make, they are doing their best to stay strong — but they need our help.
We are starting this GoFundMe to help cover:
• Funeral and memorial expenses for Eldridge’s mother
• Ongoing household and childcare needs while Nikki recovers
• Any unforeseen medical bills or travel costs for family support
