My name is Melissa. I am starting a gofundme page to help support my family. My husband has Lupus which is an autoimmune disease which means his body attacks the bad cells along with the good cells. It also attacks his tissues, joints, muscles, organs, etc. The first organ Lupus damaged was his kidneys back in 2015. He got a kidney transplant in 2017 right before we had our son in 2018. His Lupus attacked his donated kidney. It lasted until 2020 when it failed and needed it to be removed. He went back on dialysis for 3 days a week for 4 hours. He still needs a new kidney transplant. Then recently in September 2022 he got a systemic infection which spread to his blood, brain, heart, and bones. He got mengitits and it damaged his heart so he needed heart valve replacement. Then he also got a stroke due to his heart not functioning. Right now he has a long recovery road and requires intensive care which requires me to take medical leave to care for him and our son. With us both out of work it leaves us limited on funds to support ourselves. Any donation is much appreciated.
