Dear Friends, Family, and Potential Supporters,

I have been blessed with the incredible opportunity to serve on a mission with the Oregon State University Newman Center, an experience aimed at offering support, love, and resources to the Catholic community of St. Lucia. However, to make this life-changing endeavor a reality, I need your help.

Why St. Lucia?

The Catholic Christian Community of St. Lucia faces the sadly not-uncommon challenge of being vastly underserved. The area to which we will be missioning is comprised of five villages that, between them, only have one priest to serve their needs. Our mission in St. Lucia aims to address this issue by bringing tangible support to those who are hungry for spiritual nourishment and a reinvigoration of faith. Through this mission, we plan to engage in a variety of projects, including educational programs, retreats, home visits, and community building activities.

Why I Feel Called to Serve

The Newman Center at Oregon State was a huge catalyst for my own journey of falling in love with my faith. Being surrounded by such a tight knit community of young Catholics has provided such an immense swell of inspiration and love for God and this is something that I want to bring to others in need. Being a part of this community is a mission in and of itself, specifically focused on bringing the light of Christ to the OSU campus, but taking this mission off campus to St. Lucia offers the unique opportunity to intensively make an offering of hands, heart, and spirit to serve without limits or reservation to a community that truly desires all that Christ wants to use us to give to them.

The journey to St. Lucia is one I cannot embark on alone. The costs associated with travel, accommodation, supplies, and other mission-related expenses are significant. This is where I need your support.
