Help Me Make a Difference in Israel: Volunteering for Restoration and RebuildingThe PurposeIn a world filled with division, uncertainty, and conflict, I am committed to making a difference. My goal is to travel overseas to Israel, to help bring restoration, rebuild, and maintain properties that have been abandoned due to the ongoing conflicts.My BackgroundRecently, I closed down my sign business and sold my printers to fund my airfare and travel insurance. I will be living and working on a kibbutz, covering my own food expenses. Approved for an initial three-month stay from June 12th to September 12th, I plan to apply for an extension to stay an additional three months. Following this period, I aim to join a government-led volunteering service from December 2024 to December 2025.Why This MattersThis campaign is about more than just physical restoration. It’s about demonstrating the importance of caring for others over material possessions. By separating myself from the conventional American dream, I hope to embrace a new vision of helping and serving others. UPDATE 10/31/24 I've been living at the Kibbutz since June of this year and at the end of my first 90-day stay permit I left for Ireland for two weeks to share and preach over there about what has been happening here in Israel and my first hand account. I came back after those ttwo weeks and at the end of my next 90-day stay permit I will be traveling back to Arizona for 3 weeks where I will be doing the same. I had originally mentioned my goal was until December of 2025 and I have changed that to September of 2026. as you can Imagine volunteering in a place while not making money makes me rely now on the donations received. I greatly appreciate all who have helped and for the prayers sent my way. it's been an encouragement to myself and those around me seeing all that is taking place and the restoration that's coming together. In my time here I've met the President of Israel, painted the entire Kindergarten, Elementary School, and Library, I've helped building from the ground up Memeroials which will last for generations, I've done landscaping, irrigation, demolition, remodeling, excavation, and even grave digging. Even with the blasts of rockets over head, explosions all day everyday, and gun fire from soldiers and apache helicopters I do not regret coming here and I endure everyday to help the people here know they are not alone.
