Dear friends and family,

Cousins Isaac Romero Conde and Karina Moreno Sanderson are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support. Recently, we lost someone truly special, Michael Michalas. His untimely departure was due to a senseless crime. He was taken too soon. His passing has left immense voids in the lives of his family and all who knew him.

Michael Michalas was born on February 12, 1972. Michael was a gentle poet with heartfelt passion. From a young age, Michael exhibited unique sensitivities to the world around him. His works are testaments to his gentle spirit and profound ability to connect with others on humorous levels. Each poem he crafted was sincere, inviting readers to pause and reflect. Michael's poetry is not just a collection of words; they are expressions of his innermost feelings and thoughts. His verses inspire readers to see the world through his perspectives, encouraging them to find beauty in the mundane and hope in the darkest of times.

Michael Michalas (Feb 12, 1972 – Jan 24, 2025)

Michael is survived by his mother Maria Helena Michalas, his brother Alex Michalas, and his sister Anna Michalas.

In these incredibly difficult times, the Michalas family is faced with not only the emotional burdens of their loss, but also unexpected costs. Michael's family has found strength and resilience through the prayers and love of friends and family, but the road ahead will be a tough one.

This GoFundMe campaign is to help ease the strains the Michalas family is facing. All contributions, no matter how small, will go directly to helping the Michalas family in their time of grief.

Please consider donating to support the Michalas family as they navigate through these unimaginable losses. If you're unable to donate, sharing these pages with others would be a tremendous help. Let’s come together to provide the love, comfort, and support they need right now. More information will be posted as the family decides on final plans.

With gratitude,
