Keep the Meteor Shining
Hi friends — my name is Troy Campbell, founder of The House of Songs and a longtime member of the Bentonville and Austin music communities. I’m writing on behalf of many in the Northwest Arkansas creative world who want to help Leslie Key and his family, the heart and soul behind The Meteor Gallery — the beloved downtown Bentonville venue that has given us so many unforgettable nights of live music and connection.
For years, Leslie and his family have lovingly cared for this vintage, historic venue, turning it into one of the most authentic and welcoming spaces for music, art, and community gatherings. The Meteor has become a creative cornerstone — a place where emerging voices and legendary artists have all shared the same stage, where we’ve danced, cried, laughed, and found each other.
Now, the Keys are facing a transition as the current space will soon no longer be available. They’re working hard to relocate and breathe new life into the Meteor at a new home. This fundraiser is to help with the immediate costs of moving, storage, and planning for what comes next — so the Meteor’s legacy can continue to grow.
If you’ve ever felt the energy of a show there — or just the love and kindness that radiates from Leslie and his family — you know what this place means to Bentonville. It’s more than a building; it’s a living piece of our creative community.
Let’s come together to help them land on their feet, so the Meteor can rise again — brighter than ever.
Every contribution helps. Every share matters. Let’s keep the Meteor shining.
With love and gratitude,
Troy Campbell
