Support the Merry Family

Hi everyone, I have created this page to help a wonderful local family in need. We have known the Merry family for many years, which started with the friendship of our sons back in kindergarten. They became best friends in and out of school, playing multiple sports together. During that time, Sam's parents, Jeff and Suzanna, offered countless rides to and from games in addition to Sam and Ryker's growing social circle outside of Harrisville. Over the years, we have grown to know the Merry family as a strong, loyal, loving, supportive family who would be the first to offer help to those in need. However, it's now their turn to receive our much-needed support.

Jeff was recently diagnosed with throat cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. He has been out of work since November and has no return date set. Suzanna has been quietly doing all she can to support him, Sam, and Sam's older brother Josh. They are a proud family that has been privately dealing with the unthinkable at home.

While checking in with Suzanna on her birthday, I learned that Sam had been involved in a car accident that morning which totaled Jeff's car. Thankfully no one was injured, but this was just another setback to their struggling family. It was at that point Suzanna gave me permission to share their story.
