Hey Everyone,

My name is Ty, and I’ve recently started a virtual and community-based space in support of Mental Health.

As someone who has struggled with my own mental health and struggled even harder to find a community of people who are like-minded and can relate, I am extremely passionate about fostering support for those of us who need it. In my experience, the fear of exclusion and judgment kept me from finding a community of support for far too long. Coming from a background where help seemed inaccessible, signaled weakness, and brought nothing but judgment, it is my passion to give individuals opportunities that I didn’t believe existed until I began to create them for myself. I believe every person can use mental health support, as life does not discriminate and will inevitably throw each of us our fair share of curveballs. Having a space to vent, share laughs, successes, and find accessible resources is pertinent to each of us being the best that we can.

Through my group, I am aiming to not only support individual mental health but support my community by providing positive spaces for us to flourish. My overarching goal with these funds is to assist in getting these spaces and activities into action.
