Ok, I am going to do my best to write this out:

My Name is Rhiannon Huppert and I have personally known The Mendez Family for the past 7.5years. I am desperately trying to help them in their time of need:

Teressa and Misael Mendez with their four children had their family home catch on fire Monday evening January 13th 2025 around 9pm. A wooden stove chimney fluke had heated up too much too fast, and caught the near by ceiling insulation on fire in their modular home, which then caught the roof on fire. Fortunately, no one was harmed, however their living room roof and one functioning bathroom and some of their dining room and kitchen roof was severely damaged (as well as linoleum flooring from and a number of other small things). Their home is full of charred remains and isn’t habitable at the moment. This is a local family here in Valley Center, where all their children attend our local schools and are apart of so many extra circular groups, sports and activities within our town.

Unfortunately, While Misael and his eldest son, Brody can tare down and rebuild/renovate their home on their own with their own set of skills, funds is a huge problem as well as time. Misael is a handy man and relies on working daily for clients to earn an income to support and supply a life for his family. Without going to work, he will have no money. Which also means, if he does go to work then he will not be home to repair anything damaged.

I am reaching out to our community for any and all help. The Mendez Family are truly some of the kindest, hard working honest humans I have ever met and having such a tragedy happen to them, truly hurts my own heart.

If you can find it in your heart to help me- help them. It would mean the world to not only myself, but them as well.
