My name is Joshua Abebe, and I’m reaching out to you from Houston, TX, USA. Recently, I had the profound experience of visiting Ethiopia, where I became closely connected with the Medhin HIV Positive Elders Ethiopian Residence Association in Hawassa. This organization serves as the sole provider for elderly individuals living with HIV/AIDS, many of whom are bedridden and have been abandoned by their families.
During my visit, I personally funded a food essentials drive to support these vulnerable elders. The experience left a lasting impact on me, and I knew I couldn’t stop there. I am now committed to helping them secure the international donors they desperately need to continue their vital work.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will go directly to the Medhin HIV Positive Elders Ethiopian Residence Association. I will personally oversee the transfer of the funds to the association’s management team in Hawassa to ensure that every dollar is used effectively and efficiently.
