Meet the McAleer's – Cassie, Ramie, Hugo, and little Charli. They’re a young family facing unimaginable challenges, and they need our help.

Charli, a bright and joyful 8-year-old, was born with Cerebral Palsy. This condition affects her muscles and severely limits her mobility. Recently, Charli underwent a significant surgery to lengthen tendons in her calves and hamstrings, a vital step towards keeping her on her feet and out of a wheelchair for as long as possible. The surgery aims to allow her to walk with her feet flat on the ground, but the road to recovery is long and complex. Charli's recovery has been bed bound and wearing plaster casts for six weeks and needs round-the-clock care at home to support her in every aspect of daily life.

While Charli’s courage inspires everyone around her, the McAleer family was struck by another heartbreaking challenge. Cassie, her devoted mum, was recently diagnosed with breast and stage 4 ovarian cancer. It’s hard to express the devastation this diagnosis has brought to the family. While caring for Charli, Cassie had been feeling unwell, attributing it to exhaustion, only to learn she is now facing the toughest battle of her life.

The McAleer's are fighting on multiple fronts – managing Charli’s recovery, adapting to her needs, and now supporting Cassie as she begins an intense treatment journey. The medical costs, alongside everyday living expenses, are overwhelming for the family. We want to help ease their financial burden so they can focus on what truly matters: time together, healing, and hope.
