Support the Manuel family & David's recovery
Donation protected
On February 7th, David Manuel was brought to Winchester Medical Center with shortness of breath and chest pain. Due to the severity of his condition, he was immediately transferred to the INOVA cardiac team in Fairfax, VA where they discovered he had a severe blockage to his heart. On February 13th, David underwent a quadruple bypass surgery. Everything went smoothly and he was released to go home on Tuesday the 18th.
Friday night his blood pressure dropped significantly and he was having difficulty breathing. His wife, Gladys Manuel, called 911 and David was rushed back to the hospital. The main artery in his heart was collapsing. He was transferred back to INOVA and put on life support. Another procedure was preformed but he isn't out of the water yet. As of today Sunday the 23rd, his numbers are improving but he is being kept on life support to allow his body time to rest and heal.
If you know the Manuel family you know how kind, generous, and hardworking they are. They have given so much to this community and now it's our turn to give back and help in their time of need. Gladys (wife), Mike, Craig, and Tony (sons) have had to take several weeks off of work to tend to David's care. They have been staying in a hotel in Fairfax to be closer to him. Between hotel stays, travel expenses, and lost paychecks the bills are piling up. David has a long road ahead of him in recovery. I know they would never ask for anything so nothing is expected, but any donations to the family during this time would certainly be appreciated.
