Hi, my name is Brooke Santillan, and I am fundraising for my sister Courtney and her family - kids Noelle, 6; Bo, 4; and Wes, 10 months. Their beloved husband and father Brad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 12. The loss they are feeling is beyond words and absolutely devastating.
Brad was a radiant light in the lives of all the people who had the privilege to know him. He never missed the chance to offer a hug or a kind word and was quick to ask how you were doing and ask about your family. Brad was also hilariously funny and was sure to make you laugh every time you saw him. He was a devoted family man. His family and kids were the light of his life and his proudest accomplishment. In his own words, "Of all the titles I've been privileged to have, 'Dad' has always been the best." I've rarely known someone who could say he had so many friends because Brad never knew a stranger! Once he met you, you were a friend, and he took very seriously the support he gave to friends and family even while he delighted us with a silly joke and a big smile. It's hard to imagine a better husband, father, son, brother, uncle, boss, or friend.
Sadly, the loss of Brad has left a wound that nothing can fill, and it has also left many concerns about future finances for Courtney and the kids. All money from the fundraiser will go toward any outstanding funeral and memorial expenses, and then toward future family expenses resulting from the loss of income like daycare, education for the kids, and day-to-day expenses. Every penny given with love is appreciated more than you can possibly know or we can express and will ease Courtney's mind while she deals with the uncertainty of her family's future.
Thank you so much. We love you, and Brad loves you, too.
