The Lost Ones: More Than Just a Name
The name "The Lost Ones" carries a profound double meaning, reflecting the core of our mission and the communities we serve.
1. The Lost Data: "Ones and Zeroes" represent the building blocks of data, the very foundation of our digital world is built upon. Yet, critical data about our communities – especially concerning vulnerable populations like those experiencing homelessness or struggling with addiction – is often overlooked, marginalized, or simply lost in the noise.
We believe this "lost data" holds valuable insights that can help us understand the challenges we face and create effective solutions.
2. The Lost People: The name also represents the individuals and families who are often forgotten or marginalized in our society. Those struggling with addiction, facing homelessness, or living in disadvantaged communities can feel lost and invisible.
The Lost Ones is committed to giving a voice to these individuals, providing support, and advocating for their needs. We believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and empowered to create a better future for themselves and their community.
Together, We Can Find The Lost Ones...
By combining the power of data with compassionate outreach, The Lost Ones aims to:
- Uncover the lost data: We utilize GIS technology to map and analyze data related to discarded needles, public safety, and community needs, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making and drive positive change.
- Support the lost people: We offer resources, support, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by addiction and homelessness, helping them find their way back to stability and well-being.
- Build a stronger community: We foster a sense of collective responsibility and empower residents to participate in creating a safer, healthier, and more inclusive Coachella Valley.
The name "The Lost Ones" is a call to action, a reminder that we cannot afford to overlook the data or the people who are essential to the well-being of our community. Join us in our mission to find the lost and create a brighter future for all.

Who We Are:
In the heart of Coachella Valley, where families should feel safe and children should play freely, a hidden danger lurks: discarded needles. This issue, often overlooked, poses a serious threat to our community's well-being.
That's why we created "The Lost Ones," (TLO) a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming community safety in the greater Coachella Valley.
What We Do:
- "The Lost Ones' Mapping": We use GIS technology to map discarded needle hotspots, empowering local leaders with data to inform targeted interventions and cleanup efforts. Additionally, TLO will collect & maintain a private voluntary check-in registry for homeless residents safety and well being.
- "One Valley One Fight": We organize community-led cleanup events and celebrate our collective efforts with family-friendly gatherings in revitalized public spaces.
- Community Outreach and Support: We connect with disadvantaged communities and individuals experiencing homelessness, offering resources and support for addiction recovery and stable housing.
Our Mission:
To create a Coachella Valley where families can gather and children can play without fear. We envision a community empowered to address its challenges through data-driven solutions, compassionate outreach, and a shared commitment to a safe and thriving environment for all.
Together, we can create a brighter future!
