Hi, my name is Kara, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest seasons our family has ever faced.

My husband is living with end-stage liver failure and short-term memory loss following a prolonged hospitalization and coma in December. Because of his condition, he is unable to work. Despite extensive medical documentation, he was denied permanent disability, leaving us with no income from him at all.

I work full-time and am doing everything I can to keep our family together and stable. We have a two-year-old child who depends on us, and every day I’m balancing work, caregiving, medical appointments, and trying to hold our lives together.

Unfortunately, one income is no longer enough. We are now at risk of losing our car and our home, and while our family has helped as much as they can, their resources are limited.

This fundraiser is to help us cover:

Car payments and insurance

Medical-related expenses

Basic necessities for our child

We are not asking for luxury—only for stability and time while we continue to fight for medical support, disability appeals, and a chance to breathe without constant fear of losing everything.
