Hello community! My name is Amanda and I am raising funds for my best friends Sarah and Anthony Long and their two young children. In the last few days, they have been placed into an unbelievably difficult financial situation by their landlord's actions. A foreclosure notice was taped to their door right before the Easter holiday. This completely blindsided them. Apparently, their landlord has been in bad standing with the HOA since 2016, long before Sarah and Anthony moved in to the place they've called home for 7 years. Due to their landlord's deliquency, they will be forced to move soon, and that was not in the immediate plans. As you can imagine, this turn of events has caused a ripple of consequences for their family, especially after recently depleting their rainy day and emergency funds to pay for an immediate need for dental surgery. With two young children on the autism spectrum, additional support is needed more than ever to navigate changes and find a way to keep their children in the same school district. Funds raised here with go directly to the Long family and will pay for moving expenses, time off work, child care, and any legal or temporary housing costs that may arise while they navigate impossibly difficult decisions.
