The Lewis Family’s Little Free Library Project
We’re building something special this summer—and we need your help!
Our family is in the process of transforming a Community Aid donation bin into a Little Free Library in the Allison Hill neighborhood of Harrisburg. We hope this tiny library will spark big imaginations and promote literacy among our youngest neighbors.
With a little paint, a lot of heart, and the help of our daughter Margo (our enthusiastic junior librarian), we’re aiming to have it ready by August 23, 2025.
To stock the library for the year, we’re hoping to raise $500 to purchase quality secondhand children’s books—both beloved classics and new favorites. If you’d like to donate books instead, we’re gratefully accepting gently used, high-quality titles that reflect the joy and creativity we hope to share with the neighborhood.
Every donation helps build a space where kids can discover stories and fall in love with reading.
If all goes well, we’ll celebrate with a family trip to 2nd & Charles in late August to fill the shelves!
Thank you for helping us plant stories in our community!
