Support the Kuria Family in Crisis
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Community Members,
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. My name is Wanja Kuria, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my family in a time of deep need. Earlier this year Njoroge, my older brother, was arrested and is currently in jail facing very serious charges. This reality has been emotionally and financially overwhelming for all of us and has reminded us how crucial it is to lean on our community, especially in times of hardship.
One of our most painful realities is the physical distance between our family members. My parents live in Kenya, and my siblings and I are spread out across different states. Due to financial constraints, we haven’t been able to be together in person and offer the emotional support and presence we need from one another.
With this in mind, we are humbly asking for your help to bring my parents back to the U.S., allowing them to be with my brother during this crucial time. Your contributions, no matter how big or small, will directly support their ability to travel and be present with my brother, and ensure our family’s most basic needs are provided for so we can support Njoroge through this process.
We cannot do this alone but together, we can create the support networks we need. Whether it’s through donating, sharing our story, or offering words of encouragement, every act of solidarity is deeply appreciated. We are beyond grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and care we have already received from so many of you! Thank you for being part of our community and for showing up for us during this difficult time.
With love and solidarity,
Wanja Kuria and Family
