Hi everyone,
I am reaching out on behalf of my family, the Kitt family during one of the most painful and overwhelming seasons of their lives.
Six months ago, our mother, Adrea Kitt, suffered a stroke that took away her ability to work and drastically changed her daily life. While she focused on recovery, our father, Alexander Kitt, stepped in to carry the weight of the family’s financial responsibilities and care.
Both of our parents have always been known for their big hearts. They have spent their lives giving to others, supporting family, friends, and their community—often putting everyone else’s needs before their own and never imagining they would one day need to ask for help themselves.
Tragically, in late January, our father suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. He has been hospitalized at St. Joseph Medical Center and placed on a ventilator. After much prayer and heartbreak, our family has made the incredibly difficult decision to allow him to pass with respect, dignity, and peace.
As if this were not enough, our mother has since been hospitalized again due to seizures and a mental breakdown brought on by the immense stress and grief of everything happening at once. She will now require extensive aftercare, including intensive physical therapy and ongoing treatment, before she can safely return home.
Both parents have been hospitalized at St. Joseph Medical Center, and our family has been there every day—supporting them and each other, especially the children, during this unimaginable time.
We are asking for help to cover:
* Medical bills
* Feb/March rent and household utilities
* Our mother’s aftercare, therapy, and treatment
* Financial responsibilities the children will now have to take on
* Relocation expenses so our mother can be properly cared for after our father’s passing
We are currently awaiting a discharge date for our mother so she can transition into physical therapy and eventually return home with her family. The financial burden is heavy, and the emotional toll is even heavier.
Any donation—no matter the size—will help ease the stress during this heartbreaking time. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.
Thank you for your love, compassion, and support. From the bottom of our hearts, we are deeply grateful.
