Ilson Miriam Kim tragically died on Friday, December 6th. Her family is in shock and navigating their grief in the context of a violent crime.

Ilson is survived by her loving daughters Sylvia and Liz, and her husband 김주일 (Chuil Kim). Ilson was a proud mother, wife, businesswoman, and store owner. She taught her daughters the power of hard work, persistence, empathy and love; she exemplified these qualities with the grace and love she showed to others in her community on a daily basis.

There are significant financial needs where the family would benefit from support: mortuary services in Florida, transportation of Ilson's remains from Jacksonville, FL to Cherry Hill, NJ and funeral expenses/burial plot in Cherry Hill where she will be laid to rest alongside her parents. The Kim's are a strong, proud family and Ilson was a true matriarch who they must now learn how to navigate life without. The loss of a loved one is always tragic, the sudden and violent death of a loved one is unimaginable.
