The past few days have been devastating for the Kanan family. The fires in the Palisades destroyed my grandmother’s home and left many of our family members, including cousins, without their homes. Adding to this heartbreak, my mom’s business, Oasis Palisades, was also lost in the tragedy. This wellness center wasn’t just a source of income—it was her passion and a cornerstone of our community, offering care, support, and healing to so many.

With the ripple effects of these events have left us overwhelmed emotionally and financially. Compounding the devastation and the closures in all industries, which has left our family without. Without this steady income, it has become a challenge to meet even the most basic needs for our family .
